Ferries and Cruises Between Finland and Sweden

From Finland to Sweden, there are many ferry options. These two countries are well-connected in the Baltic Sea. Traffic generally flows from Helsinki and Turku towards Stockholm, with ferries briefly stopping in Åland, Finland's autonomous archipelago province. There also exists a connection across the Gulf of Bothnia, connecting Vaasa in Finland to Umeå in Sweden. The companies operating these routes include Viking Line, Tallink-Silja, Eckerölinjen, Wasaline, and Finnlines. The ferries on this route, as in much of the Baltic Sea, are in reality more like cruise ships.
