As the Capital of Finland and the most northernly metro area over one million people, Helsinki brings much to offer. Helsinki is larger than Tallinn, yet smaller than Saint Petersburg and Stockholm, giving it a unique feel in the Baltics.
Helsinki is perhaps the most connected city on the Baltic Sea, in terms of ferry traffic. From Helsink you can catch a ferry to Russia, Estonia, Sweden and Germany. Helsinki has a number of ports, so it is important to remember where your boat departs from.
