Ferries and Cruises Between Denmark and Sweden

There are currently four regularly-scheduled ferries between ports in Denmark and Sweden. Due to the Øresund bridge, there is generally less ferry traffic between Denmark and Sweden, compared to other countries in the Baltic Sea. If driving to/from northern Denmark, the ferry between Frederikshavn and Gothenburg can be a big time saver. Grenaa - Halmstad A popular destination on board Stena Line ferries, where a vehicle is generally required for travelling. There are usually two ferry departures per day in each direction, with the trip taking between four and five hours.
Frederikshavn - Gothenburg Fast (3 hours 30 minutes) ferry route between two countries from Stena Line, also requiring a vehicle (no foot passengers allowed). There are usually at least three ferries per day in each direction, with more possible in the summer months.
Bornholm - Ystad Bornholmslinjen transports between Bornholm and Ystad in 1 hour 20 minutes. The number of ferry departures per day is usually four, from morning to evening.
Helsingør - Helsingborg Local round-the-clock transportation between the cities of the same name in Denmark and Sweden in just 20 minutes. There are a lot of tickets. Also includes freight transportation. The operator is Øresundslinjen, part of the same company as Bornholmslinjen.
